3-D Triple-X Double Feature

This quilt is a throw-back to the neon signs of vintage theater marquees in the seedy parts of town. The subtle color gradients help to produce a believable glow. The X’s are inspired by the anaglyph 3D theory, and it has a cool effect when looked at it through 3D glasses. The pattern was my first quilt designed on EQ8 software, and the quilt is almost all foundation paper pieced. Quilting was free-motion on my domestic Bernina 770QE machine.
